Logging crews worked for nine months to salvage the wood, much of which is now stacked forty feet tall at a former air base. But much of it was also sent to Southeast Asia, where "98% of the raw construction lumber used for rebuilding efforts in Thailand and Indonesia has come from Swedish timber!"
