The internet at large recently noted that career tough-chick Michelle Rodriguez (Girlfight, The Fast and the Furious, Resident Evil, Blue Crush, S.W.A.T.) and her current "Lost" costar Cynthia Watros were recently picked up for DUI in Hawaii. Rodriguez faces more potential problems as she is under probation related to 2003 L.A. charges of hit and run, driving after suspension, and DUI. I'm hoping she gets her ducks in a row.
Meanwhile, E! has found that some of her other costars have had run-ins with Hawaiian police:
Josh Holloway (Sawyer): 53 in a 35.
Dominic Monaghan (Charlie): 78 in a 55, driving without a license, 68 in a 45.
Naveen Andrews (Sayid):70 in a 35, 42 in a 25.
Ian Somerhalder (Boone): 74 in a 45.
This seems, statistically, like a lot of speeding tickets among a small sampling of people (tier-1 Lost cast members.) But I wonder what other commonalities might be involved.
Do they all feel privileged, above the law?
Doubtful.
Are they all oblivious to signage and conditions that indicate appropriate speeds?
Doesn't seem likely.
Are they all young actors with recent windfalls of stardom and money roaring around in six-figure sports cars with more horsepower than Churchill Downs and wide-eyed little honeys in the passenger seat...?
That's what I prefer to imagine.
(But Naveen -- 70 in a 35? That's just asking for it.)
